This needs no explanation- other than, yes. Yes, it is what you think it is. 600 of them. I don't know what else to say. Words escape me. Wow.

In which we show examples of the actions of the directors of a taxing subdivision of the state of Idaho, The Western Elmore County Recreation District, which has gone terribly out of control, under the watchful(?) eyes of Directors Marsha Sellers, Mollie Marsh, and Jana Borgolthaus.
OM here. So, "Tassels Without Hassles" huh? Seems like the fact that we paid the "mere" $78.50 for tassels (on 5/8/09) for bookmarks for goodie bags but refused to give money to the kids/youth is a "hassle" in itself.
ReplyDeleteI had an interesting visit to the WECRD office. I asked to see ALL receipts for monies paid back to directors for purchases. Guess what? Well, the receipts did not cover all monies paid back. When asked why I was told that some had been lost.
This report has been brought to you in part by "What You Do Not Get For Your Money." But hey, rest easy, they are only the wards of about $1.5 million bucks. They can only lose documents that relate to what they spend another 1.5 million times.
TITLE 31
COUNTIES AND COUNTY LAW
CHAPTER 43
RECREATION DISTRICTS
"31-4302.Declaration of public benefit. Providing adequate recreation facilities for public use is hereby declared to be a public benefit, use and purpose which enhances the value and quality of life and which materially assists in correcting or eliminating many social ills such as delinquency, crime, excessive use of alcohol, drug abuse and discrimination."
So, have they met the above criteria in the last 9 years? Have they enhanced your quality of life? Have they cured/curbed social ills? Discrimination. Hmmm. Prayer group could not use WECRD facility but MHJHS acting club could after the WECRD itself stated their (our) offices could ONLY BE USED FOR WECRD BUSINESS. Seems like they may have added to the problems but that is just my take on things.
Have a good day.
I think that there are some recreational uses for tassels (just not in a state with bikini bars instead of strip clubs)
ReplyDeleteThat brings a really bad picture to mind of 3 old hags doing a Madonna like dance. Icky. Could have done without that, thanks.
