Planning to Meet; Meeting to Plan, Repeat as Necessary Until They Go Away
Reports from the Wednesday meeting have been coming in bits and pieces. According to witnesses, those who did not die of boredom may already have been dead. Public comment was accepted, at the end of the meeting, but no questions were answered.
Apparently they will be hiring a bookkeeper and a Special Chief Deputy Underassistant To The President. Silence will be formulating the new organization chart.
There was some discussion of tech support, but no one seems to know what was said, asked, or decided. Surprise!
The building (mis)use policy is (still) being (re) worked. Surprise!
The document policy was discussed, but still needs work and revisions. Surprise!
Silence needs a tally of things brought forward from prior meetings (October and prior), how long they have been languishing in la-la land, and how many got settled at this meeting. We suspect the answer to the latter question is zero, or at most, one. More to follow after a review of the minutes.

It was so nice to see so many at the past Wed WECRD meeting and really got to see what is going on, what a joke you people have more excuses than Carters liver pills to why you weren't there, was just as many on the rec district staff and there was with the general public people and nothing is going to change that way.
ReplyDeleteWell aren't you just a grumpy gus! Did you ask them any questions or offer input?
ReplyDeleteSilence, the meeting, as always was a joke. With respect to technology. No decision has been made on what copy machine will be purchased. They plan to get the input of some of the volunteers for this as well as local business people. Their tech person would like to see their web page "hosted" and Mollie wants it to be a living web page (I guess that would mean more current, factual, honest information as opposed to the CRAP that is on there now?). Anyway, their tech guy will have more info on all of this at their special meeting in February. Gosh only kows that the copy machine debate has only been around for about 5-6 months now. The tech guy also brought up some Computers for Kids Program. He would like the WECRD to provide the space for this. It is a program that allows lowere income people to purchase computers for their children for under $75.00 (I cannot recall the figures since I was nearly bored to death with all of the HS chatter and off the record whispering that took place that was not audible to the common folks in the audience). Which reminds me. The WECRD Board may/shall be reminded that ALL conversation in your meetings should be (not may be) audible to all persons in the audience. This would include those who are hearing impaired as well, which is why the man who left made the comment that he did (to be more clear to you morons, he could not hear what you were talking about).
ReplyDeleteSame old garbage with this group. They have a building use policy. It is to be used for WECRD business only. Period. Pretty clear. How Betty Ashcraft's group got in is another story. Well, here is the story. Mollie Marsh did not feel it was appropriate to turn the group down and since the meeting would not take place in time for the WECRD Board to vote, Mollie Marsh took it upon herself to say yes. And Mr. McCarrol from the HS was thrilled that they did! So mush so that he has agreed to fund the balance of that stage (nearly $3,000.00) and allow the acting group to "pay it back when they can." How great. Guess he also missed the memo on the state of emergency with respect to school funding. No books for kids to take home but by gollie they will have a stage to act from.
Anyway, that was the general direction of the meeting. Silence, I did find this from the WECRD's October Minutes with respect to building use:
b. Legal
"The issue of “facility rental” was brought up at this time. Director Marsha Sellers stated that
she would like to reintroduce the possibility of having a policy that would allow people to use
the facility and help the District cover expenses. It was agreed that Attorney Peterson will draft a policy for “sub-leasing.” Further discussion of the issue will be on the January agenda."
Marsha Sellers decided what the last policy was going to be and the other idiots followed with a yes vote. That is the policy. Period. The school was charged nothing for the use of the WECRD space (the rate is $20.00 per hour). So how does this help to "cover expenses" Ms. Sellers if for your pals the space is used for free? Just wondering not that any of you will ever respond.
So now OM has been charged $70.00 for documents. The policy indicated there "may" be a charge and did not state what that rate would or could or may be. Did anyone talk about that at this meeting? I heard through the grapevine (A WECRD Volunteer) that Ms. Lauric sent a mail requesting her money back for the research charge. I read the law and it is pretty clear. The WECRD should not have charged that based on what was requested and how many pages there were. So does she get her money back or will she be forced to sue them to recover her costs? It seems unfair and like she was a target. I think they thought she would not be able to pay and would not get the info she asked for. So is that an attempt by the WECRD to restrict public acess to public records? Make the cost so high that few will be able to afford to obtain the info? If they are going to charge Mrs. Lauric then they should charge everyone. If not, they are discriminating against her right?
ReplyDeleteThe volunteer stated she would sue if she did not get her money back. So we get to fund their attorney fees for something they never should have done to begin with? They have an attorney. He needs to pull his head out of his suit pants and direct them based on the laws not how they feel toward someone. Just me but funding a legal defense for something they never should have done is just stupid.
I thought this wans't OMs blog? SO why does she have all the comments. they all sound just like her butpretending to be someone else. SOck monkey puppets. Get a life no one but you cares about any of this. no one was at the meeting but you whiners anyway. some of this is interesting but no ones doing anything but bitching.
ReplyDeleteNow-now silence...we should not get down to their (the WECRD's) level. Try to keep it clean...this could be a family media outlet for facts. This is about as factual as we have on this subject. Just a suggestion for what it is worth.
ReplyDeleteIt appears Silence doesn't have all the facts to write the blog always looking to someone else for all the info, maybe the person should try attending the meeting and see for himself/herself, just could be the person could find out more than just how to swear to someone that comments. If you going to write about the WECRD do your own homework and write about it instead of sitting on your lazy butt wanted someone else to give you all the information.
ReplyDeleteHiya Hiya Hiya, step right up and vote for your FAV-o-rite WECRD bias. We got um all folks, er well we got what ensures this survey is more worthless than a bid to build a Taco Bell in this town. We specifically narrowed down the survey so that you CAN'T vote for what you want. BUT, don't get worried now, we have put on the survey everything that will ensure that you vote exactly the way we want you little sheep to vote. We are spending your money to survey you to ensure that our opportunities to get free pictures of ourselves and continue to spend your money is ensured. Ya see we spend your money to advertise that we are good stewards of your money so that we can get more of your money to spend to advertise that we are good stewards of your money. It's just that simple. We have it all folks, or at least everything that we want on the survey. Now I know what you're saying, "Why would you put motocross on a list of eleven things that the community should rank in order of importance". Well lemme tell ya. We have a contingent that wants your money to go towards motocross. No, No, No it doesn't matter that about only four people in the community actually participate in motocross. What we did is we set up the survey so that there are absolutely no safeguards on it to ensure one person, one vote. Ya see this whole thing is just to make you think we are interested in your opinion. What we did is we put things on the survey that the extremely radical people can vote for time and time and time and time again. The surveys are just going to be set out at the 6 different survey collection areas. Nobody there. Just sitting out to be grabbed and taken home by the hundreds to be filled out by the people that are doing GOOD. They know whats right for the community so screw you. And for your surveyed enjoyment and for when we run out of surveys at the survey spots.......are you ready?????? We created an online survey that can be voted on as many times as you like. Just submit your survey and then go back to the beginning and submit another one. Are we the smartestest of the community er what? We won't even think anything is wrong when we get the highest per capita survey response since a Hugo Chavez poll. We'll just be proud of how the whole community, plus a couple thousand or so, came out to help us in our quest to save the children of Elmore county from boredom, poverty and the Meth that stalks them at every turn because there's nothing to do here except the ever popular sport of ignoring your children, sniff sniff. These poor abandoned souls need to have something to do so their parents aren't bothered with them, or heaven forbid, have to actually show up at the actual building where their offspring are educated and show some interest or give some time. The new WECRD motto is, "DAMN THE SCHOOLS, WE WANT POOLS".
ReplyDeleteHiya Hiya Hiya, step right up and vote and vote and vote and vote and vote.............
